V Karvinej sa nedávno konala rómska zábava, na ktorej vystúpili známe slovenské hudobné skupiny Gipsy Mekenzi a Dáša Negatív. Organizátor podujatia, Béla Pompa z Bohumína, však po skončení akcie podviedol hudobníkov a utiekol bez toho, aby im vyplatil dohodnuté honoráre. Každá skupina mala dostať 50 000 CZK, čo je približne 2 000 eur, spolu teda 100 000 CZK.
Hudobníci, ktorí pricestovali zo Slovenska, zostali bez finančných prostriedkov na návrat domov. Našťastie, miestni obyvatelia sa zložili a poskytli im potrebné peniaze na cestu. Rómska komunita v Karvinej vyjadrila rozhorčenie nad konaním organizátora a uviedla, že jeho činy spôsobili veľkú hanbu mestu a jeho obyvateľom.
Skupina Dáša Negatív, patrí medzi najúspešnejšie rómske kapely na scéne a má za sebou množstvo albumov a singlov. Podobne aj Gipsy Mekenzi sú známi svojou energickou hudbou a vystúpeniami. Obe skupiny vyjadrili sklamanie nad vzniknutou situáciou a dúfajú, že sa podobné incidenty v budúcnosti nebudú opakovať.
Tento incident poukazuje na dôležitosť dôveryhodnosti organizátorov kultúrnych podujatí a potrebu zabezpečiť, aby umelci dostali za svoju prácu spravodlivú odmenu. Miestna komunita v Karvinej sa snaží napraviť poškodenú reputáciu mesta a vyjadruje podporu podvedeným hudobníkom.
